Testimonials
Here is what our clients are saying...
From the start we have found you easy and pleasurable to deal with. Your market knowledge is formidable and – we believe – has contributed significantly to the speedy sale of our rental home.
Thanks and regards, Kirsty Hughes and Tony Snushall
I appreciated your hard work, candor and humour as we moved on this sale. Who ever said it was an easy job? I will happily recommend you and Kathleen to other sellers or buyers.
Warm regards, Simon Hurley

Auckland Property Prices
There is a tendency for us to hang on stories painted by the media “in the moment” but a couple of things to ponder are; 1) Selling and buying on the same market has little material effect on material wealth but does, in our experience increase wealth in terms of happiness and well being and 2) The average Auckland sale price as recorded by Barfoot & Thompson since 1954 has increased steadily to this day. There has been the odd bump along the way but the trend is impressive.
Seasonal Recipe
Sabato have the most delicious tinned sardines in olive oil from a company called Albo in Galicia, Spain. Oily fish are particularly good good for you and these are just fine straight out the can – maybe with a squeeze of lemon or splash of Forum Cabernet Sauvignon vinegar – but if people like to make more of a ‘dish’ for a tapas of entree here is a wee recipe.
PASTA WITH SARDINES IN SAORDA
(SWEET AND SOUR ITALIAN-STYLE)
Serves 4 – 6
2 tins of Albo baby sardines
1/2 tsp Tarvan Iranian saffron strands (approx)
1 small fennel bulb
1 onion
2 tbsp Romulo olive oil
250ml Sabato Passata
100 g pine kernels
1/3 cup (70 g) seedless raisins
500g Rustichella spaghetti or fettucine
salt and pepper
2 tbsp Florio Gran Chef Marsala
- Soak the saffron in 1 tsp of water.
- Blanch the fennel, drain, and separate the fleshy layers. Chop them finely.
- Cut the fish into 2cm pieces.
- Finely chop the onion.
- Heat the oil in a large frying pan, and sauté the onion gently for 2-3 minutes until tender.
- Add the fish, passata, pine kernels, raisins, the saffron and fennel. Mix well and draw off the heat.
- Cook the pasta in fast boiling salted water until just al dente. Drain and keep hot.
- Return the pan of fish to the heat, and simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring gently. Season well.
- Add the Marsala. Simmer for a further 2-3 minutes.
- Place the pasta on a heated serving dish, pour the sardine mixture over it, and toss well.
Serve very hot.
